The Hurricanes

Founded in 2006, the Hurricanes are a 45+ Masters Division team currently competing in the North Texas Amateur Baseball League (NTABL).  The team is comprised of a diverse group of players with playing experience from all across the baseball landscape.

Keeping the focus on solid baseball and solid guys, the 'Canes have had moderate success on the field.  Better than their record indicates, the team continues to have fun doing what they love to do - play baseball.  During games, there is no shortage of laughter on the Hurricane bench and the after game Kangaroo Court keeps players from taking themselves or the game too seriously.  Although they prefer winning to losing, for the Hurricanes, the focus on fun.

The North Texas Amateur Baseball League (NTABL), in partnership with the Frisco RoughRiders, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) and Dr Pepper Snapple Group, play 3 All Star games at Dr Pepper Ball Ballpark in Frisco Texas each year.

Each year the NTABL participates in charity work, and this event hopes to raise at least $5,000 for TSRHC. The league also gives to the Prostate Cancer Foundation through a partnership with Men's Senior Baseball League (MSBL) and Major League Baseball (MLB) and participates every year with the Reverchon Roundup, a park cleanup effort managed by the Friends of Reverchon Park and TSRHC. Proceeds from ticket sales, the Home Run Derby and other fund-raising activities will benefit TSRHC. Details to come soon.
